This project is my playground for pure structural and dynamic mechanical analysis. I wanted to design a system that forced me to move past idealized textbook physics and confront real-world beam theory, torsional loading, and deflection constraints under high-inertia movement.
The ultimate goal is to run a full Model → Build → Instrument → Validation loop to see exactly how close my analytical models match real physical performance.
Current Status:
Initial sizing, structural calculations, and mechanical design packages are finalized, and the project was technically vetted and awarded a $500 GMU Undergraduate Mini Grant.
Next Steps:
Transitioning out of pure documentation and into physical fabrication, sourcing components, setting up the IMU instrumentation array, and running physical load-testing to measure real-world deflection.
