Auto Home Hydroponic Farm

This is the most important systems project in my stack.
The project is designed to be a sort of “living capstone”, in which I spend the duration of my degree to apply theory from relevant classes into advancing the project.
If I learn something early outside of class, I may apply it through another project or separate study, but the farm itself is meant to evolve in sync with the degree, present my skills, and to become my full systems integration showcase:
- thermofluids
- mechanical and structural design
- mechatronics and embedded systems
- system modeling, dynamics and controls
- reliability, fault handling, and validation
- statics / dynamics thinking
Its purpose is to let me say: “I learned it, then I built it, then I tested it, then I validated it.”
Current farm status:
- the database strategy is theoretically detailed but still needs to be modeled / implemented
- current next steps are roughly:
- CAD / mechanical layout
- automation / control logic
- energy simulation & performance
- I expect that sequence to expand / evolve heavily over time
